This Ian Allan Tour is designed to give you full access to the event but is based around a 'long weekend' style of trip.
We travel out on Thursday, 20th August, and get to our accommodation. Friday will be spent near the airfield approach viewing aircraft arrivals and show practice. The weekend is based around the Jubilee Air Show on the base itself. Monday offers the opportunity to visit the Air Force museum or observe departure activity before we travel back to Stockholm for flights back home.
The Anniversary event will feature flying displays by both Swedish and international aircraft, with the theme past, present, and future. At present, the exact release date of the flight programme is not known. Once finalised, it will be published at www.forsvarsmakten.se/flygdagen and we will advise all those travelling on the tours.
In addition to aerial and ground displays, visitors will have the opportunity to explore exhibitions on the ground featuring various branches of the Swedish Armed Forces as well as civilian authorities and organisations. As part of the exhibition, Swedish and international aircraft and helicopters will be on display for closer inspection.
Interest is very high and accommodation is already at a premium in the immediate surrounding area. We advise booking as promptly as you can to reserve your place.
THIS TOUR IS WITH FOUR NIGHTS ACCOMMODATION IN LINKOPING. HOTEL PROXIMITY TO THE EVENT IS THE ONLY DIFFERENTIAL IN TOUR PROVISION.
